We are back from tour. It was amazing. We can't wait to go back on the road. In the meantime, we are playing with the Constantines (a band we listened to quite frequently on the road) at the Luna Lounge in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Also we expect to have some other news soon.
February 25, 2007
OK, the tour is all confirmed. Here is the schedule!
February 20, 2007
The cross-country tour is almost entirely confirmed (along with some NYC shows leading up to it)! We are still trying to nail down Richmond (or Charlotte, or Fredericksburg), a second Los Angeles date (or Santa Cruz), and we welcome more shows in Austin from March 14th-17th:
In other news, JACOB HENSBERRY is directing a music video for "Goes Cube Song 30"! Should be done in a few weeks.

It's still a work in progress, but it's a little better, no? None of us know how to do web stuff, so, really we're just proud of ourselves that we didn't break the site entirely. 2. New recording: We just got out of the studio. Recorded a bunch of stuff. Two of the songs are up on our mp3 page. 3. Shows. We're working on some really rad stuff. The summer will be cruel....to your ears. Check out the shows page.
Cross-country tour schedule is announced! GO HERE TO SEE THE SCHEDULE. Please contact us if you can help us find/book a show or provide any additional support! Thanks!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our 2007 has started with things busier than ever:
1. "BECKON THE DAGGER GOD": It is out now! But it is a limited edition, and it's selling fast (which is awesome). BUY IT NOW FROM INSOUND!
2. We've come up with a roughly month-long tour plan for March. We'll add a page soon with those dates and locations. WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUR HELP TO BOOK SOME OF THE SHOWS, AS WELL AS FREE LODGING. Check back soon for that.
Usual apologies for our failure to update this page. Of course, the upshot is that when you go this long, it usually means that you've got something interesting to say once you do actually make the update. This is no exception. Here's some news for you:
1. "BECKON THE DAGGER GOD": We originally handmade a CD before each show with varying tracklists. But, this is the official, but limited edition of "Beckon the Dagger God" EP. There aren't that many copies to go around (a significant portion of the print run is already alotted for promotional purposes), but you can pre-order it from Insound! Showcasing Goes Cube's sound, which Stereogum calls "dynamic, melodic, and perfectly brutal," the EP contains 7 songs (including never-before-heard recordings of "Goes Cube Song 35" and "Goes Cube Song 33") produced by Dean Baltulonis of Foreign Islands, and original artwork by renowned artist Nick Brown.
PRE-ORDER IT FROM INSOUND!
2. Goes Cube makes the Oh My Rockness Best of 2006 list! Best Use Of The Distortion Pedal - Goes Cube: "Sometimes we wish we had a distortion pedal for life. Like when our landlord yells at us for not rinsing our beer bottles thoroughly enough. Instead of getting mad at the guy, we could just do a Goes Cube stomp on the floor and our apartment would suddenly be flooded with fuzzy angst. That would show him, alright."
3. Awesome January show announced: Goes Cube is playing the Mercury Lounge on January 20th with The Giraffes. The Giraffes are fucking awesome. You know they are. Other bands tba. They will also be awesome.
4. Speaking of the Giraffes, booking requests should be made to Jessica at giraffesbooking-at-yahoo.com (in addition to goescube-at-lsadproco.com). Jessica is lending us a booking hand.
5. Speaking of booking... expect some touring to be happening this winter/spring (and beyond). Specifically, Goes Cube may be embarking on a cross-country tour that will coincide with SXSW (hopefully, they'll have us). Do you want to help us make this happen? Yes? Great! Just answer the following questions: Do you live somewhere in the USA? If so, do you want to have us play your club? Play with your band? Sleep for free at your house/apartment? We'd love to know if you answered yes to any of these questions.
6. Finally, check out some videos of Goes Cube playing live. The first is us playing at the SESAC/CMJ showase at the Delancey. The next is back from July when we played the Gothamist Movable Hype show.
WOW. CMJ WEEK SHOWS ANNOUNCED
Sorry for the lack of updates on this page. Typically, we update our MySpace page more frequently with news.
We just got out of the studio early this morning. 4 songs done, produced by Dean Baltulonis. Tomorrow, we'll have it mastered by Tom Hutten of Bionic Mastering.
Come see Goes Cube at Cakeshop on Saturday 9/16 with Stephonik (ex Aqui) and Dragons of Zynth, or 9/26 at Sin-e with You Say Party! We Say Die! and the Blow. We'll have some limited edition early copies of the new material that we'll be handing out!
Goes Cube Song 29: LISTEN NOW!!!
In a mere two weeks, Goes Cube is heading back to the studio to record more 4 more songs. Once again, Dean Baltulonis (Foreign Islands), along with Goes Cube, will be producing the recording.
Also, mark off September 26 on your calendar: Goes Cube and You Say Party! We Say Die! will be playing Sin-e.
Apologies for being horrible at keeping up the news page. Ironically, the reason is because we've been so busy doing stuff. Unfortunately, some of it can't be discussed, but some can:
Goes Cube is now managed by Christy Merriner at Morebarn Music. Contact her at christy@morebarn.com.
Our schedule has been a bit jenky. Our next show is now on 8/26. We will be confirming a show in mid-late September, which will be awesome. Check back.
Finally, we'll have more news soon. Honestly. We mean it.
July 14, 2006

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Movable Hype show!
Our show on August 1st at the Annex is now all set. It's a really great lineup; check it out:
